Kindle Vs Nook

If you are Looking for an e-reader, you found it? So what do you want: Kindle vs Nook? I’ll tell you which one I prefer. 11 points through which you can compare them are down below. I definitely prefer the Kindle. I know this through personal experience. Kindle is the best and there is more than one reason why. I can not make this decision for you. Also, I think the Kindle has a much brighter future. Anyway here are 11 good points:

-The Size: Kindle is actually 40% thinner than Nook, and 1 inch taller.

-Weight: Kindle is about 1oz heavier than Nook Touch, and 7oz lighter than Nook Color, 3oz lighter than the original Nook.

-Battery: One thing is that Nook seems to beat Kindle for battery life. Kindles battery lasts about 4 weeks if not using the Internet, old Nook lasts 2 weeks, but Nook Touch lasts 8 weeks, and Nook Color will last about 8 hours.

-Screen:The Kindle 3 is just better than the original Nook fro contrast in the viewer, but it is the same as the new Nook Touch of 2011. Both of the readers have no glare, except for the color Nook version as it has a LCD screen.

-Navigation: This is the negative for Kindle: it uses real buttons and a toggle for navigation instead of touch screen, personal preference. Nook is touch screen at different sizes depending on the model.

-Memory: But this is what I love about Kindle and very important indeed since the whole idea of having an e-reader is to take your virtual library with you. Kindle has about double the memory compared to Nook, and the Nook Touch. On the other hand Nooks are expandable, while K3 isn’t, but I hate the extra expense of expanding things.

-Free books: Both have free book opportunities, but Kindle has more. Nook supports the public library books epuB. Free .mobi books are abundant online and Kindle supports them. You can get Kindle Books at 11,000 public libraries.

-Free 3G Internet for Kindle! WiFi is all that Nook Touch and Color come with.

-Rating: Kindle has the highest rating of 4.5, Nook is under that with between 3.7 to 4.3.

-Price: eBooks are cheaper on Amazon, and Kindle is cheaper than Nook.

-Kindle is smart, and makes it really easy for authors to publish their books on the Kindle, making the Kindle selection incredibly diverse, offering very low priced but high quality independent books.

This is all pointless when you get the new Kindle tablet for a mere $199.00 that can do everything an ipad can do, all I can say is get it now so you don’t have to stand in line.

Nook isn't bad, you make the choice, but I think Nook will have to do something big to beat Kindle. The Ipad is actually better than Kindle with its ibook browser. The Amazons book market is huge and not easily beat. If you are now asking Where can I buy a Kindle you have found the place. The Newest Kindle is called Fire: movies, apps, games, music, reading and more, plus Amazon's revolutionary, cloud-accelerated web browser, is available on it!
